미 상무부, 1분기 미국의 국내총생산(GDP) 증가율(확정치)이 1.4%(직전분기 대비 연율)로 집계됐다고 밝힘. 이는 2022년 2분기(-0.6%) 이후 가장 저조한 성장률. 작년 4분기(3.4%) 대비 성장률이 크게 둔화한 가운데 지난달 발표된 잠정치(1.3%)에서 0.1%포인트 상향 조정. 다우존스가 집계한 전문가 전망치에는 부합. GDP 증가율을 낮추는 요인으로 수입이 잠정치 추계 대비 하향조정 되었고 비거주 고정투자 및 정부지출이 상향 조정되었다고 상무부는 설명

네이버웹툰의 모기업인 웹툰 엔터테인먼트가 27일(현지시간) 뉴욕 증시 상장 첫날 10% 가까이 급등. 뉴욕증시에서 웹툰 엔터테인먼트(종목 코드 'WBTN')는 나스닥 거래 첫날인 이날 공모가보다 9.5% 높은 23.0달러에 거래를 마침. 웹툰 엔터테인먼트는 개장 초 14%까지 상승폭을 높이기도 했음. 웹툰 엔터테인먼트는 이번 기업공개(IPO)를 통해 보통주 1천500만주를 발행, 공모가 적용 시 3억1천500만 달러(약 4천400억원)를 조달할 것으로 전망

신화통신, 중국공산당 중앙정치국은 시진핑 주석 주재로 회의를 열고 당 제20기 중앙위원회 제3차 전체회의(20기 3중전회)를 7월 15∼18일 베이징에서 소집하기로 했다고 보도. 이어서 회의는 진일보한 전면적 개혁 심화의 전체 목표는 중국 특색의 사회주의 제도를 계속 개선·발전시켜 국가 거버넌스 체계와 능력 현대화를 추진하는 것이라고 강조했다며 "2035년까지 높은 수준의 사회주의 시장경제 제도를 전면 건설해 이번 세기 중반 사회주의 현대화 강국 건설을 위한 견실한 기초를 놓는 것이라고 설명

# 한국
통계청, '5월 산업활동동향'에 따르면 지난달 전(全)산업 생산지수는 113.1(2020년=100)로 전월보다 0.7% 감소했다고 밝힘. 전산업 생산 지수는 지난 3월 2.3% 줄어든 뒤 4월에 1.2% 반등했으나 한 달 만에 다시 감소. 부문별로 보면 광공업에서 1.2% 감소했고, 제조업 생산이 1.1%, 서비스업 생산이 0.5% 감소. 재화 소비를 보여주는 소매판매는 0.2% 줄어 두 달 연속 감소세를 보임. 설비투자는 4.1% 줄어 석 달째 감소

최 부총리가 ‘편집인 포럼’에서 세제 개편에 상당히 관심이 높은데 상속세가 가장 시급하고 조금 더 고민할 부분이라고 발언. 그는 전체적으로 상속세 부담이 높은 수준이고 현재의 제도 자체가 20년 이상 변하지 않아 합리적으로 개편해야 한다는 기본 인식이 있다고 덧붙임. 최대 주주 20% 할증 제도 폐지, 각 자녀가 실제 상속받은 유산에만 세금을 매기는 ‘유산취득세’ 도입 등 상속세 각론과 관련해선 구체적인 언급을. 정부는 다음 달 올해 세법 개정안을 발표할 예정

이란 전 대통령이 지난달 불의의 헬기 추락으로 사망하면서 갑작스럽게 성사된 이란 대통령 보궐선거 투표가 28일 진행될 예정. 후보는 현재 4명으로 이들 가운데 강경 보수파인 모하마드 바게르 갈리바프(63) 마즐리스 의장이 가장 유력한 후보로 꼽힘. 여기에 아야톨라 세예드 알리 하메네이 이란 최고지도자의 측근 인사로 알려진 사이드 잘릴리(59) 전 외무차관이 보수 진영 내에서 양강 구도를 형성. 유일한 중도·개혁 후보인 마수드 페제시키안(70) 의원은 젊은층과 여성 유권자를 중심으로 지지를 받고 있는 상황. 보수 진영 후보가 우세하다는 시각이 대체적이지만 일각에서는 최근 페제시키안 의원이 다크호스로 떠오르면서 판세가 흔들리고 있다는 분석

# United States of America
The U.S. Department of Commerce announced that the U.S. GDP growth rate in the first quarter was 1.4 percent, the lowest since the second quarter of 2022 (-0.6 percent). Amid a sharp slowdown in growth compared to the fourth quarter of last year, the U.S. increased by 0.1 percentage point from the provisional 1.3 percent announced last month. This is in line with the expert forecast compiled by Dow Jones. The Commerce Department explained that imports were lowered from the provisional estimate and non-residential fixed investments and government spending were raised due to lower GDP growth

Webtoon Entertainment, the parent company of Naver Webtoon, surged nearly 10% on the first day of its listing on the New York Stock Exchange on the 27th (local time). On the first day of trading on the Nasdaq, Webtoon Entertainment (WBTN) closed at $23.0, 9.5% higher than its initial public offering price. Webtoon Entertainment is expected to issue 15 million shares of common stock through this IPO, raising $315 million (about 440 billion won) when the public offering price is applied

Xinhua News Agency and the Central Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China held a meeting presided over by President Xi Jinping and decided to convene the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee in Beijing on July 15-18. The meeting then stressed that the overall goal of further comprehensive reform is to continue to improve and develop the socialist system with Chinese characteristics to promote the modernization of the national governance system and capabilities

# Korea
According to the "May Industrial Activity Trends," the National Statistical Office said the production index for all industries fell 0.7% from the previous month to 113.1 (2020=100). The production index for all industries rebounded 1.2% in April after shrinking 2.3% in March, but declined again in a month. By sector, mining and mining industries fell 1.2%, manufacturing production fell 1.1% and service production fell 0.5%. Retail sales, which show consumption of goods, fell 0.2% and declined for the second consecutive month. Facility investment fell 4.1% to a third straight month

Deputy Prime Minister Choi said in an "editor forum" that the inheritance tax is the most urgent and should be considered a little more. He added that there is a basic perception that the inheritance tax burden is high overall and that the current system itself has not changed for more than 20 years, so it should be reformed reasonably. He made specific comments on the inheritance tax issue, including the abolition of the 20% premium system for maximum shareholders and the introduction of the "heritage acquisition tax," which only taxes the inheritance tax that each child actually inherited. The government plans to announce a revision to this year's tax law next month

A by-election vote for Iran's presidential candidate will take place on Friday after the former president of the country was killed in an unexpected helicopter crash last month. There are currently four candidates, and Mohammad Bagher Galibaf (63), the leader of the hardline conservative group, is the most likely candidate. On top of that, former Vice Foreign Minister Saeed Jalili (59), who is known to be a close aide to Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, has formed a two-way structure within the conservative camp. Masud Pejeshikyan (70), the only moderate and reform candidate, is receiving support from young voters and female voters. Conservative candidates dominate in general, but some analysts say that the situation is on shaky ground as Pejeshikyan has recently emerged as a dark horse
